As the hostess, I wanted to have the mostest...party prep included;
Making a welcome banner
I bought pretty paper, same colours but different patterns and made my own letters
Then I backed them on sturdier and dark brown paper and decided to try weaving some wire around the letters. I had never done this before, so it was tedious but...
It totally paid off, and I had a cute, girly sign for when my guests entered.
Close up of one letter :)
My favourite part of parties when I was a kid, was TREAT BAGS (of course) So I decided to do quaint party favours with little thanks you cards (with bits of paper from my banner) and small little green and pink boxes that each had a delicious custard tart inside. Cute, simple and everyone loved it.
I picked up a pretty bouquet of flowers.
Took time to arrange party platters and even used one of the flowers from my bouquet as a centre piece amongst yummy fruit.
Because it was craft night, I got a big circular table cloth and put it on the floor and surrounded it with blankets and pillows for all of us to sit on. I placed pink napkins and plate in the middle along with the food.
Oh, and pink cutlery. I couldn't help myself.
A crisp for craft night is what this one below says...
And yes...there was a delicious apple crisp that Sarah made!
As we indulged in food and wine I forgot to document our craft. We decided leg warmers from old sweaters. I got the idea from a blog called A Beautiful Mess
Here's what we did..
The crafting was fun, the food and drink was excellent but best of all was having all of my best friends together in one room all to myself. Thanks ladies xo
Super Cute! Love it all!
